Do I need previous childcare experience to become a franchisee?
You do not need previous childcare experience to own a Creative World School®. Most franchisees hire a qualified Director; however, we do recommend that you become certified by your state to be a Director in case of emergency.
What are the initial franchise fee and royalty fees?
The initial franchise fee is $50,000 and the royalties increase gradually from 5% for the first year, 6% for the second year and 7% for the third year and beyond.
How much does it cost to build a school?
We recommend two different sizes of schools:
Our 8,000 square foot building is designed for approximately 150 children. It requires a minimum of one acre of land and the total cost of the project is $2,000,000.
Our 12,000 square foot building is designed for approximately 250 children. It requires a minimum of two acres of land and the total cost of the project is $3,000,000.
The total cost of the project can vary substantially depending on the cost of land, construction and landscaping requirements.

Does Creative World School® offer financing?
We currently recommend financing through the United States Small Business Administration (SBA) loan programs. The SBA 504 program can loan up to 85% of the cost for land, building, furniture, fixtures, and equipment to qualified new school operators. (Up to 90% for experienced owners.) The SBA 7A program can loan additional funds for the franchise fee and operating capital. In addition, Creative World School may finance up to $100,000 for franchisees having difficulty meeting the 15% down payment requirement. The availability of all of the above loans is subject to qualification by the SBA and Creative World School.
How much money can I make?
Profitability depends on a number of factors including your ability to generate enrollments, manage the business and control costs. These factors, debt service and more, all affect the profit the school can generate. We strongly advise you to visit with some of our existing franchisees to discuss gross revenue, operating costs and profitability. When we begin serious discussions regarding our franchise program, we will provide you with the appropriate Franchise Disclosure Document or FDD. Certain historical financial performance information may be included in this document.
How soon can I expect for my school to be open?
It usually takes 8 to 14 months to complete a school construction project. Zoning, permitting and weather conditions can require additional time.
Will I have a protected territory?
Absolutely. You will have a radius of protection of five miles around your learning center where no other Creative World franchisee may locate.
Will I receive assistance in selecting a site for my school?
Yes, we will help you analyze the demographics of available sites in your market and evaluate them in terms of price, location, access and zoning. We also offer a full set of construction plans and specifications to adapt to your site and will assist you in all phases of construction.
Will I receive guidance on purchasing equipment and supplies?
Our affiliate, Discount Preschool, contracts for large quantities of equipment and supplies at reduced prices. For your initial order of equipment and supplies, we not only deliver, but also set up everything in place so your learning center franchise is ready to go on opening day.
What kind of training can I expect as a franchisee?
We will conduct initial operations management training for you and one or two management personnel at our training facility and/or at a designated school for approximately three weeks. In addition, we will provide approximately three weeks of employee/staff training at your learning center prior to opening. Your entire childcare franchise staff will receive periodic, ongoing training as continued support from Creative World School®.
Will I receive assistance in planning the grand opening?
The Creative World School® marketing department, including a graphic artist, will guide you and assist you in utilizing our inventory of proven direct mail and advertising materials which will be tailored to your school and its opening activities. Creative World School® will also help you decide how to spend the required $5,000 on your grand opening advertising with local media.
